Just as Emmanuel has highlighted in his write up, i share in his optimism in the growth of mobile marketing in Nigeria. The operators has a key role to play in this instance by allowing access to their subscription data base. my suggestion for the operators is to sign confidentiality agreement with mobile advertising service providers so as to maintain the subcribers privacy. With SIM card registration coming on stream, obtaining subscriber segments such as age group, income group, LSM will be more accessible now. Mobile services advertising such as SMS is a more direct one on one interaction between brand owners and consumers as it can be more measurable than the traditional media vehicles.

We need more growth in the sector as we are witnessing increased subscription in the telecommunications sector.
